The best grooming experience I’ve ever had. Period. I don't usually write reviews, but after this Japan trip, I’ve decided I need to start sharing the gems. I grew up in Santa Clara and live in Milpitas now, so I’ve sat in plenty of barbershops across the South Bay. If you’re in the Shinjuku area, you have to hit up ZANGIRI (but make sure to book ahead on their website). I booked the Special Experience Course with Aimi Emi online. Honestly, her skill and finesse are on another level. She’s incredibly kind and pays attention to the tiny details that most shops just gloss over. This wasn't just a quick trim. It was a full ritual: haircut, shampoo, a legit head massage, and a close edge shave. It was so relaxing that I actually almost fell asleep in the chair. They finish it all off with some hot green tea, which is a nice touch. Some might say it’s pricey, but coming from the Bay Area, the quality to price ratio here is insane. You’d pay way more back in San Jose for half the service and probably double the ego. If you want to look and feel like a VIP, go see Emi-san at the Shinjuku shop. It’s the gold standard. Always, Chungry
This place gave me the best haircut of my life. Along with a great shave, eyebrow trimming, and face massage. I would highly recommend this place for both tourist and locals. Everyone was very friendly and helpful!
This is by far the best barbershop experience I’ve ever had in my life. Loved every moment. These guys are super professional and know how to cut hair and take care of you. This will not be my last time. I’ll be back as much as possible. Literally the best in the world.
Silly me thinking I had to pay the same price as Japanese customers. Silly me for not noticing there’s a 30% increase for the hair cut and shampoo set and a 69,5% increase for the shaving combo just because I’m a foreigner.
Was in and out in a timely fashion, my Japanese is minimal but the hairdresser took his time to make sure he understood and there are visual guides to aid. Best barber experience I've had since coming back to Japan
