I had a haircut by Mr. Mouri. He was busy with several clients at the same time, so the cut took less than 10 minutes. He didn't dry my hair, leaving it to dry naturally, which I guess is why he seemed to be in a hurry. My hair was about 4cm apart on each side. I was also very disappointed with the uneven coloring. I've been there many times, but he didn't offer the treatment I'd previously selected, so the price remained the same. He seemed to have more time during the weekday afternoon when there aren't many clients, so he chatted for a long time and cut and colored my hair slowly. He stopped working, so I think he could have finished a little faster. The difference between busy and slow days was so dramatic that I felt he was a truly laid-back hairdresser. It's not worth paying the high price for a haircut. I'll never go again.

I was satisfied with the cut technique, but there were a few other things that bothered me, so I'll write about them here. I gave it a 3-star rating overall, taking into account the skill, price, and other factors. This comment is by no means a comment about the technique. - Asked: "Would you like to leave a Google review?" →I declined because I couldn't rate it in person unless I gave it a high rating, but some people asked me to do so during the treatment. I think that's why people who gave 4 or 5 stars without leaving a comment are rating it that way. I believe you should write a review if you feel like it, so in situations like the one above, I felt compelled to give a high rating no matter how I felt, which didn't feel very good. - Suggested treatments I didn't order From my second visit, they started suggesting a straight perm? My hair is generally straight, with a slight wave in some places (only around my ears) and volume, but the curl isn't that noticeable. I have a large face, so it would be a problem if it looked flat, and I personally think more volume suits me better. The salon owner forgot about it and suggested it again the third time I went (they mentioned it twice that day), but honestly, it was a hassle to think they'd ask me about it again the next time. I've never been recommended a straight perm anywhere else. I think it's probably because they have their own preferences and the shape they like. - Eating something like a Frisk while serving As I was leaving, when they called the elevator for me, I noticed that they were eating a Frisk?, which bothered me. We talked a little afterwards, but if they were going to eat a Frisk in between, I would have preferred them to just say thank you properly and eat it in the back room. If they had thanked me properly first, I wouldn't have minded if we didn't talk while waiting for the elevator. It felt like they were just making an effort, and I felt a little uncomfortable. Maybe that's something you'd find in other countries. There were other small things that bothered me, but if I wrote them all down, it would probably be obvious who I was talking to, so I'll just leave it here. The cut and color appointment fee was 22,000 yen, but I decided based on whether it was worth it not only for the skill but also for other factors. It is actually much more expensive than the market rate, but I am concerned about such small details and am hesitant to pay that amount, so I think I will look for a different hair salon.

Mr. Mori is skilled at creating styles. Even if you vaguely explain what you want, like "I don't like this," he'll skillfully create something that suits you. He'll also adapt photos to suit your style. He's one of the few trustworthy hairdressers you can leave it up to when you don't have a specific preference. He's always in the shop, and if he has free time, he even does the coloring and shampooing himself (is he resting?). I think he probably wants to do everything for his clients, from start to finish, if possible, haha. It's best to go during off-peak hours. But even if it's busy and they only have 10 minutes to attend to you, I'm sure they won't cut corners. You can trust them on that. After getting my hair cut at another salon, it was too short and thinned out too much, making the shape of my head very noticeable, and I felt depressed every time I looked in the mirror. I chose a menu item with a picture of my ideal hairstyle from Hot Pepper and visited for the first time. In the end, I was refused everything because they said it wasn't possible with my hair, and none of the things I wanted were fulfilled. (Two weeks later, another salon did it for me, so that's okay.) Despite the menu changing significantly, there was no explanation about the price, and I was shocked when the bill increased by 15,000 yen from the price of the booked menu. They really should have told me… The straight perm was very good, but it's sad that if you've previously booked with a specific stylist, you can't book without specifying a stylist…

When I showed them a picture of the color I wanted, they made detailed suggestions like, "Is this a good place to part your hair?" and "Should we do a gradient?", and I was generally satisfied with the result. However, there was one disappointing point. I requested a donation cut, but when I got home and measured the length, it was clear that most of the hair bundles were less than 30cm long (only about 25cm). This was despite the fact that we had a conversation before the cut where I asked, "Is this about 30cm? It's surprisingly short." There was an additional charge for the donation cut, which I paid, of course, but I was quite saddened that this was the result of growing my hair for over three years specifically for donation. I made a last-minute reservation the night before, so they may not have been prepared, and they were probably very busy cutting multiple clients' hair that day... If you are considering a donation cut, I would advise against it here.
