The door was locked when we showed up and they did not answer their phone even though (1) the welcome sign was up outside the building and (2) it said they were open on Google Maps and their website. Very frustrating and unprofessional experience as we took a 30 minute train to get here.
I've been to enzyme baths a few times, but this one didn't have a strong scent, so I was able to relax and not think about anything! The store was clean and had a modern Japanese atmosphere, allowing me to relax and warm up. The bath was made with a mix of rice bran and cypress sawdust, and it was fluffy compared to other enzyme baths! The temperature felt a little low, so I didn't sweat much, but they called out to me halfway through and reheated the hotter parts, so I hope to start sweating more often. 😊 The room for secondary sweating was very clean, and the amenities were plentiful. I wish I could have spent more time in a relaxing space. ^ ^ I really liked the concept of developing a habit of self-reflection, but I was disappointed that the time before I left was so short...! (But maybe that can't be helped...!) However, the staff were very attentive, so I'll definitely come back to take care of myself! Thank you! ❣️
I visited this enzyme bath facility today. The staff were very polite, and I felt at ease even before I got in. They frequently checked the temperature during the bath, asking, "Is it too hot?" and "Is this temperature okay?", which really showed their thoughtfulness. The enzyme bath, made with a mixture of rice bran and cypress, allowed me to relax while being enveloped in its natural warmth. It was also a completely private room, so I was happy to be able to relax without worrying about others. I was honestly a little bothered by the smell right after I got in, but as time went on, it actually became more comfortable, and it was a strange feeling. My body gradually warmed up, and I felt warm and cozy after I finished. My skin was also smooth and silky, and both my mind and body were relaxed. I highly recommend this salon for anyone looking to treat themselves or relieve everyday fatigue and chills.
I've been a huge fan of mugwort steam baths and enzyme baths in Korea for over 10 years. (Personal experience) I've been to several other places in Azabu-Juban about 20 times, but recently the quality has declined, so I've been searching all over Minato Ward. I was nervous on my first visit, but the staff were incredibly beautiful and professional, and I felt so relaxed and refreshed. They also have extensive knowledge of enzyme baths and are true professionals who study enzymes and fermentation! (Reassuring) I'm so happy I found this place in Akasaka! The facility is clean, and there's a private makeup room, which is convenient for touching up your makeup after showering before leaving. It's also great for beginners, as the mugwort steam bath temperature can be adjusted, making it suitable for those who don't like it too hot. If you're someone whose face looks dull and tired every day, it might indicate poor circulation or a weakened immune system, so I highly recommend trying it at least once. I started going for fertility treatment and to improve my skin, but now my body doesn't get cold as easily, I don't catch colds anymore, and people often tell me my skin looks great! ♪ Of course, it's also good for recovering from fatigue, and I leave feeling refreshed. I plan to go again if I have the time! ♪
This enzyme bath in Akasaka just opened on April 24th. It's a five-minute walk from both Akasaka Station and Nogizaka Station. After leaving Akasaka Station's Exit 7, walk straight to the right and it's located along the street, so it's very easy to find. Since it's new, the interior is very clean. I could already smell the delicious sawdust as I went down to the basement. There are two enzyme baths, and each one is led to a private room, where you pass through a shower and then enter the bath. The private rooms are equipped with lockers that can be locked, so you can have your own private space. I wasn't able to wash my face at the beginning, so I used a makeup remover wipe. Once I was ready, I got in the bath. The sawdust was so soft and fluffy that my feet were submerged in it. It's apparently a mix of rice bran and cypress. It has a mild, soothing scent. I was completely submerged up to my head and neck for 20 minutes. They asked me several times along the way how I was feeling. They were very attentive to my every detail. Since my plan included a facial mask, they also applied a mud mask with a brush. Thanks to them, my skin is now smooth! The humidity in the room wasn't high, so I thought I could stay in the bath for a long time, but the moment I turned on the shower, I became anemic and collapsed. (><) The staff noticed right away and, suspecting symptoms of hypoglycemia, quickly gave me some sweet sake, which helped me recover quickly. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. (><) The enzyme bath only involves lying in sawdust for 20 minutes, but it really does take a lot of energy. It really made me realize how much energy you use. Always eat carbohydrates before bathing. I'll be more careful from now on. After the bath, you can relax in a private room until it's time to go. The pickled plums I was given were delicious. I was planning to just try it out, but they kept asking me if I wanted to become a member. I honestly told them that I didn't find anything particularly special about it compared to other enzyme baths, but they still recommended it, so I asked them again if I wanted a trial. The sales pitch seemed as aggressive as at a beauty salon, so if you're the type of person who can't say no, you should think carefully before making a reservation. The other customer who arrived at the same time seemed to be talking the whole time. Other than that, it was very good, so I felt like I was missing out. Also, even though it's a members-only salon, the membership fee and individual session fees are quite high, so I wonder if they'd be worth the trouble to go there if they didn't offer a bit more specialty than other salons. Sorry for being so picky. That said, even the trial session was very relaxing.
