I made a reservation through Hot Pepper Beauty in mid-November and visited the salon for the first time. The stylist didn't even smile from the moment the door opened, and from the moment I sat down and explained the style and color I wanted, she gave off an air of disbelief that made me wonder if she was in a bad mood. Given the atmosphere and attitude before the treatment, I probably should have told her I wanted to cancel, but I was so worried about being charged a cancellation fee that I didn't bring myself to say anything, so I think part of the blame lies with me. Also, I'm not sure if she understood what I wanted, but she was a professional and I'd shown her several photos, so I didn't say anything when she finished coloring and started chopping my hair without confirming anything. It was a costly lesson. I feel bad about mentioning the stylist's name here, so I'll keep it vague, but it wasn't the representative, nor the other woman, but Ms. I, who has long blonde hair. When I got home and looked in the mirror at home, I noticed some unevenness in the color, so I had the treatment redone at a different salon the next day. Both Hot Pepper Beauty and Google reviews have some people giving negative reviews, but also many who are praising the service, so I think it's not just about the skill, but also about compatibility with the stylist.
