I am a foreigner, and I had high expectations after hearing great things about Japanese hair salons. After reading reviews, I decided to try this salon, but the result was extremely disappointing. I explained my preferences to the stylist and asked for a consultation to see what kind of style would suit me. However, there was no consultation at all. The only question I was asked was, “What length do you want?” There was no explanation about what the stylist was going to do beforehand. As a result, I had no idea what the highlight color would look like or what kind of haircut I was going to get. I also had issues with the pricing. During the session, I was told that I needed to have extra bleach that would cost an additional 4,400 yen. I don’t mind paying extra for good results, but being charged this amount just to add bleach to TWO strands of highlights felt completely unjustified. Moreover, the package I selected stated that it included a treatment, but the treatment was not provided in the end. This kind of service felt very dishonest, almost like a scam. I didn’t say anything immediately after the session because I wanted to give the hairstyle some time to settle. However, now that a few days have passed, I can confidently say that I am not satisfied with the results at all. The haircut and highlights are both disappointing and are the worst I’ve ever had. As you can see in the photos, there’s so little highlight. I paid 17100 yen for this?

This is my first hair cut in a year because of time and financial constraints. I was hoping that when they trimmed my split ends, I wouldn’t still have a ton of split ends. I have learned that Japan’s Keratin treatment doesn’t actually straighten hair. This would be fine if I hadn’t been talking to the stylists about it giving me straight hair, comparing it to a Brazilian and Japanese hair straightening for the 4 hours I was in the shop. I understand that I should have confirmed if Japan carries the same product that we have over seas. I don’t know why they have the same name if they don’t do the same thing, but I accept responsibility for that. I just don’t know why was I not told that the treatment wouldn’t give me the desired effect. So I basically wasted a day and spent near 30,000 yen for a product I didn’t want and I don’t have the money to rectify that. I’m just sad. I wish I didn’t get my hair done at all.

Just had my hair cut and color here. Mr Suko and his colleagues are very kind and professional. I don’t speak Japanese at all but we communicated smoothly with Google translate. I’m very happy with the result and would definitely recommend! :)
